Holy Month of Rajab

Imam Jaffer-as-Sadiq narrates as follows:

"Nuh (a.s.) boarded his ark on the first of Rajab and ordered his companions to fast on that day. He said that Hell goes away to a distance of one year from one who fasts on this day. One who fasts for seven days all the seven doors of Hell would be closed for him. One who fasts for eight days all eight doors of Paradise would be opened for him. One who fasts for fifteen days would have his problems solved. One who fasts for more than this Allah, the Mighty and Sublime would grant him a greater reward."

Prayers Requested

7th May 2012 - We have received news that Seyed Mohamed Naqvi of Birmingham has been admitted to hospital after having suffered a heart attack; he is reported to be recovering well, Alhamdulillah.

We also wish to inform members that Seyed Hassan Naqvi will be under going a heart bypass operation on Wednesday 9th May, 2012 in London, U.K.

The Mombasa Jamaat requests members of our community to remember both the personalities in their prayers for their quick recovery.

Bone Marrow Urgent Appeal

A community member in Toronto Canada has been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia, a cancer of blood cells. Her doctor has initiated a search globally for a suitable donor, but the best chance of finding a suitable match is from within our community.

The Canadian Blood Services have informed the family that they need donors between the ages of 17-50. They are also in desperate need of ethnic male donors between the ages of 17-35.
